BTIG LLC is a premier institutional brokerage and fund
services company which has been recognized by Wall
Street for its philanthropic endeavors and standing in the
community. BTIG’s most notable event is our Commissions for
Charity Day, from which the day’s commissions are donated
to support various non-profit organizations that champion
efforts against childhood challenges. The event is dedicated to
helping better the lives of the youngest and most vulnerable
members of society.
BTIG LLC is a member of FINRA and SIPC BTIG’s Commissions for Charity Days have raised over $24 million for children’s charities in the past nine years. On our most recent Commissions for Charity Day in 2013, BTIG raised more than $4 million in a single day. The proceeds were distributed to over 100 children’s charities including Boys and Girls Club, The First Tee, the San Francisco Guardsmen, The Michael J. Fox Foundation, A Little Hope, Autism Speaks, Make-a-Wish Foundation, and Children of Fallen Patriots.
2 On behalf of The Guardsmen and the Giants Community Fund, we would like to welcome you to The Ritz-Carlton, San Francisco and to our Sports Auction and Celebrity Dinner!
This evening is a result of a decision by our two organizations to work together to produce a very memorable evening to benefit underserved Bay Area youth–a shared charitable pursuit.
Tonight we are excited to have here with us many members of the San Francisco Giants organization, San Francisco 49ers, Golden State Warriors, and other local athletes. We thank them and their families for being here and for giving their time to help make this event both enjoyable and successful.
Since 1947, The Guardsmen’s all-volunteer membership has raised millions of dollars to provide thousands of Bay Area children the opportunity to attend summer camps each year and to receive scholarships to attend local private grade schools and high schools.
Since 1991, the Giants Community Fund has used baseball as a forum to encourage underserved youth and their families to live healthy, productive lives. With the support of individuals, businesses and community partners, the Fund has reached thousands of youth through the Junior Giants program and other community initiatives.
Finally, we extend our special thanks to all of our generous sponsors and donors without whom this event would be significantly less beneficial to our kids, and to our volunteers, who have donated hundreds of hours of their valuable time to make this event a reality.
Please support these companies and thank these individuals.
We hope you have a wonderful evening!
